Lock Rekeying
Lock Rekeying
When you need to update the security of your property, replacing every lock is often an unnecessary and expensive undertaking. Our rekeying service provides a cost-effective alternative that restores your peace of mind without the waste of discarding perfectly functional hardware. By re-pinning a cylinder so that old keys no longer operate the mechanism, we provide an immediate security reset for any residential or commercial property. Our mobile units are fully equipped to perform precision rekeying on-site, ensuring your premises are secured with a fresh set of keys in a single visit.
Home Rekeying
For a homeowner, the security of your family depends on knowing exactly who has a copy of your keys. Home rekeying is the most efficient way to achieve this. Whether you have experienced lost house keys or simply want to revoke access from previous occupants or contractors, our technicians can rekey house locks. During this process, we remove the lock cylinder and change lock pins to a new, unique configuration. This process renders all previous keys useless and allows us to provide you with new keys for locks throughout the home. This service is a foundational element of a modern home security strategy, providing a clean slate for your physical access control.
Business Rekeying
Commercial properties face a constant rotation of personnel, which can lead to a significant key loss over time. Commercial rekeying is an essential tool for business owners and facility managers. When an employee leaves the company or a key goes missing, a business rekeying allows you to secure your storefront, office, or warehouse instantly. We specialize in high-volume projects, including the management of master key systems where different staff members require varying levels of access. By choosing to rekey locks rather than replacing commercial-grade mortise or cylindrical locks, your business saves significantly on hardware costs while maintaining a professional level of site security.
Mobile Rekey Service
Security needs are often urgent, which is why we provide a dedicated mobile rekey service. We understand that if you have experienced a security issue or need your locks rekeyed when you move to a different facility, you cannot wait days for an appointment. We are often able to offer same day rekeying to ensure your property is not left vulnerable. Our mobile workshops carry a vast inventory of pin kits, specialty tools, and high-quality key blanks for all major brands, including Schlage, Kwikset, Baldwin, and Yale. As a professional locksmith rekey specialist, we bring the shop to your door, completing the work efficiently and testing every lock to ensure it operates smoothly with your new keys before we leave the site.
Rekey vs Replace
Many property owners are unsure whether they should rekey locks or opt for a full move-in lock change involving new hardware. The choice often comes down to the condition and quality of your existing locks. If your hardware is physically sound and matches your preferences, rekeying is almost always the superior choice, as the rekeying cost is significantly lower than purchasing new locksets. However, if the locks are tarnished, malfunctioning, or provide inferior security, a replacement may be warranted. A major benefit of rekeying is the ability to have your locks keyed alike. If your front, back, and side doors all use the same brand of lock, we can rekey them to a single key, eliminating the ” problem of having too many keys and simplifying your daily routine.
